Brewing With Probiotics

Dear Fermentation Technologist,

One of our own has started his own brewing blog, Mr. Jhon Cambell!  Jhon works at Osborn Brewing and has been feeding his passion for sours by brewing up some interesting and delicious batches.  Hopefully you were lucky enough to try his Smoked Stout Sour, Golden Sour, or his sour aged in a Merlot Barrel at our January meeting!  Jhon gave me a breakdown of his blog and I am excited to dive in. Especially the ‘Brewing with Probiotics’ article as to bring a new flavor profile to my gose beers. I would like to encourage you all to check out the blog and take a look at his research and experiments. Use the hyperlink below and enjoy!

DRAFT Tasting Panel

Each monthly meeting features a tasting panel where members can bring in a finished beer and get honest direct feedback from our more experienced members, many of whom are BJCP-certified. 2-4 members will have the opportunity to sign up to participate in each panel, which ensures that each brewer and each beer gets the attention required to make this panel worthwhile. You will learn how the tasting panel approaches evaluating a beer and hear them describe their impressions and how they arrived at them. Please be prepared to describe your beer for the panel to help them focus their feedback on what will most improve your brewing. Bringing this Tasting Panel Form will provide all the info the panel needs.
